The Revolution Pro 3 is an excellent controller for its price, doing almost everything a higher-end controller will do for about half the price. I personally prefer a tougher resistance but that is always a subjective matter. They have very little resistance and, while this is likely to be a personal preference, they are far too loose and easy. Both sticks are perfectly functional and are extremely comfortable, but they are on the loose side. The right stick is outlined with an LED ring that can be customized with the Nacon software. They are orientated offset the same as an Xbox controller and I find that to be a welcome decision. The touchpad itself is a fairly standard size and functions properly.įinally, and arguably the most important part of a controller, the analogue sticks. The selected profile is then indicated by the four LED lights along the bottom of the touchpad.

While you are connected to the PC you can use the Nacon software to customize the different profiles and mappings, then change them during gameplay using the button on the rear. You can switch the connection mode through the switch located on the back depending on what device you are connecting to. It comes with a long, braided USB cable that is extremely rugged.

The Revolution Pro 3 connects to both PC and PS4 through a deep-set USB-C port on the back. I would also have liked to see adjustment options such as a trigger lock on them, as is available on most controllers of this style. The triggers are easily depressed and work well, but they again feel a tad large. The triggers, D-pad and buttons feel a tad on the spongy side but usable, while the face buttons also seem to be slightly larger than the average controller. The general construction feels fairly sturdy, composed almost entirely of hard plastic with a tactile matt finish. This is a great addition, however, it does make the controller feel a bit bottom-heavy as the weight can’t be distributed evenly. This allows for more comfort-orientated customization depending how much weight you prefer your controller to have. You can easily assign buttons to perform actions that would usually require you to move your thumb from the analogue stick, now located right where your finger already is.īeyond the mappable buttons, the Revolution Pro 3 has two removable slides at the end of each grip with space inside to place the included weights. These buttons make for the perfect advantage on the battlefield. It has paid off in my opinion: The button placement has made them immediately accessible to your fingers as you require no extra movement or change in the way you hold the controller. This in itself is unusual, as most controllers with additional inputs opt for paddles, or buttons in place of paddles, but Nacon has put thought into their design and gone against the grain. It is extremely customizable, having 4 additional mappable buttons on the inside of the grips. The Revolution Pro 3 is fairly unique in its design and function, not just providing the usual third party controller experience. The Nacon Revolution Pro Controller 3 is a licenced customizable PS4 controller, that is also compatible with PC. Its ergonomics adapted to the longest game sessions offers a perfect grip. A natural evolution of the Revolution Pro Controller 2, it benefits from NACON’s know-how to improve player comfort and performance.
